Australian Backpackers Jumbo 2004

100 crazed Dutchies decsended upon Sydney
as part of the Australian Backpackers Jumbo group for
2004, all with one thing on their minds! And no, it
wasn't 'SEX' as you would be forgiven for thinking,
but it was the chance to enduce more sex with the prize
on offer.
The prize, a powerful 6 cylinder 4.1litre
lurrrve machine, was none other than Australia's finest..............a
Ford Falcon Stationwagon.
The afternoon rolled on with a few beers
in a beautiful location, and a few other prize giveaways
were held. But there was no fooling; there was only
one thing on the minds of many. It was the chance to
save thousands on their holiday and win a car to see
Australia in for a year. And whats more, the chance
to share the adventure with friends old and NEW :)
The crowd started to gather, and by 4.30pm
an echo rang out across the bay of Coogee, of the word
"Auto, Auto, Auto". The chant left no doubt
to the local population of Sydney, that the Australian
Backpacker Jumbo had landed, and a large contingent
of Orange was going to be added to the already vibrant
colours of the Australian landscape.
Stunned and amazed was winner Michael
Smink who reportedly back home, "only drove mums
car". Still hours after he'd won, Michael he sat
in disbelief that now, he no longer had to look for
buying a car for his journeys!
A worthy winner and a great day out!!!
