How To Find Us

From the Airport

By Taxi: The fastest way to reach us from the Cairns International Airport is by taxi. This will cost approximately $15 and takes about 15-20 minutes depending on traffic.

By Bus: From the airport there is an airport bus which leaves every 30 minutes. It will drop you at our front door if you ask the driver and costs $5.50

From the Esplanade

By Taxi: It will cost about $7 from anywhere on the Esplanade

Walking: It is approximately a 15-20 minute walk from the Esplanade. Walk south on the Esplanade (towards the casino) until you get to Spence Street and turn right. Walk down Spence Street to Bunda Street (approximately 6 blocks) and turn left into Bunda Street. You will be able to see our shop from the corner.

Information About Cairns

Cairns is the hub of Tropical North Queensland, Australia: the international gateway into a very special part of the world. It is the heart of the Tropical North and is an excellent base for exploring this region. The Cairns International Airport is a short ride from the city centre.

The Cairns Marina is only one block from the city centre and is the departure point for most Great Barrier Reef trips.

In the evening this small cosmopolitan centre offers the 100 000 residents and visitors a choice of over 100 restaurants. With an abundance of fresh seafood, exotic tropical fruits and the piquant flavours of native Australian cruisine, dining out is always a great experience.

The further north you go the prettier the beaches get with Palm Cove and Ellis Beach being my pick of the bunch.

Lots of travellers love Trinity Beach which is wonderful on windy days as it is well sheltered. It is a good idea and sometimes cheaper to hire a car and drive as opposed to being reliant on the local buses.

Unfortunately between October and April you will need to swim in the Stinger Net enclosures at the beaches as the Box Jellyfish and friends are a dangerous presence at our local beaches.
